December 3, 2009 - NEW YORK, NY
SU Mentor Mentee Alliance (SUMMA) - the beneficiary of this fundraiser - is a group of alumni who volunteer to mentor students at the Leadership &Public Service High School in Lower Manhattan. The school was founded over a decade a...go as a joint venture of Syracuse University and the NYC Department of Education and continues to form a strong bond between our New York alumni and the city. Stylist Sarah Shirley, who has served as a mentor to several students from the school, is offering this opportunity for SUMMA to raise funds in support of the programs that they organize for these students.
The event is at the Rebecca and Drew (www.rebeccaanddrew.com) store in Chelsea this Thursday, December 3. There will be "Prosecco, prizes, and perfectly fitting shirts for women."
